KABB Fox 29 San Antonio. The title is World War II Vet Loses Home in Fire
Wow...makes my heart hurt. I truly hope the story gets you response. It figures that those who are suppose to help pass the buck. Long shot, but my daughter was stationed in SA (air force) but she works with vets and may have some contacts inside that might step up. Can't hurt. will call her. The words Veteran and homeless should NEVER be in the same sentence! They deserve better...Magpie

Thank you so much.

So Howard is in drake jail again, this time for good. Ebony's feet are injured and she is limping. He chased her across the yard and caught her on gravel. She kept trying to get away and has cuts on her feet. I have soaked her in Epsom salt, what else can I do to help her?

I had just gone to get my cup of coffee, maybe 3 minutes. That's all it took.

Though I've never dealt with this myself (my only drake has a gimpy leg and he is pretty chill about mating, only doing it in the pool), I think you are doing all you need to do. I'd set her in a nice grassy place where her feet won't get any poop or dirt in the cuts. She'll probably heal by herself. Also, making sure any water she has to bathe in is clean will help prevent any infection. Sometimes fisces in the water can cause problems, so I'd clean it out just in case. She'll likely want to relax her feet a bit after the rough treatment.

She is holding her tail down and to the side. Could he have hurt her on the inside as well? As far as I can tell she hasn't laid an egg today and she was laying everyday since we brought her home.

I have soaked her again, it does seem to help her a bit. When she is in the pool her tail isnt pointing down, but is cocked to the right. When she is out of the pool her tail is down and to the right. I am very concerned for her.
