Texas

My name is Will, I just placed my first order for Indian Runner ducklings and Cayuga ducklings, I will have 6 runners, 1 black drake, 1 duck, 2 chocolate ducks, 2 blue ducks. For my Cayuga's 1 frame, and 4 ducks.

I am from a small town called Oak Point, about 40 min north of Dallas.
I am so excited about our new ducklings, reading everything that I can find on care and imprinting. Thank you all. I love looking at your feathered baby pictures.

Glad to have you, Will! Feel free to ask questions. This is a helpful bunch of knowledgeable folks! Enjoy your ducks!

Thank you, they are on order, they will not arrive until May the 23rd. I have been reading everything I can find. Taking notes and all, I want this to go as smoothly as possible and be ready for anything that comes up.

Good luck! They don't stay little long! Enjoy them while you can! I don't think I have ever seen anything grow as fast as ducks do!

This is a great place for information and just chatting. I have gotten a LOT of information from BYC and enjoy talking to people. They offer such good advice to us newbies! LOL I have only had my ducks for about a year and have learned a great deal that I didn't know.

Checking in after the heavy storms last night... Here in Waco, we had heavy winds and thunderstorms but managed to miss the hail. One block over, an old growth tree was completely uprooted and fell but missed the owner's house. We had a small downed branch and lost power a few times through the night but otherwise came out unscathed. Hope everyone and their critters are okay this morning.
We got a lot of wind and noise but everything/everybody is ok here in Ledbetter. Thanks for asking!

We managed to survive with only a little rain, no hail and a lot of wind. The main body of the storm passed just north of us. But then, while driving home from town today this happened...this is what happens when a 30 pound wild turkey decides to fly in front of you while you are driving 70 miles per hour. The bird hit and got caught in my front right headlight and its body was slung back along the right side of the car where it destroyed the side view mirror (which is of course full of electronics). Guess I will have to watch more carefully for low flying turkeys...and make sure I have my Turkey stamp this season...

All ok here. We got some high winds and rain but no damage.
