From Ga, we are praying that all of you in the path of Harvey and it's increasing waters remain safe as well as your flocks. Personally I have family in Houston. God bless.

Are you near any of the rivers? We have received a little over 9" rain so far. We have been under tornado warnings most of the night. One touched down in Missouri City. I don't believe there were any fatalities.
Our neighbors (6) came and stayed with us til a little after midnight.
My son just texted and said to watch out for the little floating balls of fire ants. He got stung good this morning.
My flock is doing okay. I went out at 6:15 and the adults were still on the roosts. The chicks were like little kids, running around chest bumping each other.
I hope and pray everyone is okay.
We prepare....get food and "stuff" to last for at least a week. How y'all Texans doing this morning? How does one keep themselves safe from 40"+, let alone chickens and other animals? My thoughts are with each and every one of you. Stay safe!![]()
Now is not the time to go tubing...I repeat stay off of the river.Hope everyone along the gulf is doing OK. I can't believe the effects we are feeling all the way to New Braunfels, tropical storm conditions, 50mph gusts and expecting to get 15 inches of rain!
We won't get a direct hit in Ledbetter, but are scheduled for 25" of rain!!! We WILL flood, but being retired....we'll just stay at home.I hope everyone in Harvey's path has their pantry's stocked well...
Good luck to all.
Glad to hear from you Kiki. The rain keeps hitting us in waves...
Really hard for a little while then stops then hits again.
Y'all seeing any of this rain yet?Glad to hear from you Kiki.![]()
