Texas

Still strong north winds here and the odd sprinkle, west of Fredericksburg. I'm fairly certain we've already seen the majority of the rain we'll get; now waiting for the sun to come out and the steambath to begin!

My 85 y.o. mom is in Pasadena. Still dry, no house flooding or even street flooding, all utilities in place as of this a.m. (8/28) so crossing fingers. If she stays dry it will be a miracle. I'm on pins and needles hoping she stays ok, since no way I could even get to her with all highways flooded in Houston.

Will keep your mom in prayers.

Ms. Wolfe, do you have any kind of barn, shed, or any type of out building that could be put to temp use as a coop? Any interior portion of your home that could be transformed? We can fit our's in our laundy room and plan to do that if we must.
No we have way too many! We moved the youngest babies and the hen that has molted the worst, she has maybe 10 feathers left.. but that's all we could move without all of them fighting!
