Texas

Sorry about your mother, glad your brother is ok. Just spent a few hours with my neighbor/friend having a couple of beers and figuring out how to keep each other safe this week. Agree about Texaslisa, hope she is just busy and will let us know how she is doing when she has a chance. hope you continue to hold up and please know all of you remain in our prayers. Even my neighbor is praying for you tonight.

O shizzle sticks.
My street is flooded.
Water is up to my back door now.
The rain has NOT stopped.
OMG, do what you have to do to keep safe, look for flootation devices, like ice chests, life jackets, etc. If you have to go to your attic make sure you have some way of getting out, like an axe, if not the easiest way to kick your roof off is at the eaves. bring drinking water and a fire arm if you have one you may need it. Now I am worried. keep me posted when and if you can, be safe. do you have a canoe or some type of boat you can get out now? Sometimes a wooden door can be used as a flootation decive. I will keep brainstorming and you keep safe

Ice chests can be used as floatation devises for you or you animals. please excuse the spelling. Trying to think and type as fast as I can.

God, I wish I could think of more, I feel so helpless for ya'll
Thanks for your prayers, thoughts, advice for everyone in South Texas, enduring this weather and losses.
At least the wind has subsided, still getting some pretty good gusts. The driving rain has managed to find it's way into the house (windows, under the door seals, and the roof) been working on stopping it all day. Lots of repair to be done. Loss a few more birds to hypothermia, feathers just too soaked to keep body heat. Hopefully, the very worst is over, for me anyway. My prayers and thoughts go out to all.
