Yes me and my hubby took our time to get it right, has hardware cloth on all sides except the top.

We are first timers only had them for 6 months, we get approximately 18 to 20 eggs a day, so I have taken to freeze drying them for longer keeping.

So it took me awhile, but I thought I would post an update of my little growing Texas flock. My adoptive mama hen with all 13 of her babies growing thriving. First couple pictures were the morning after I snuck them under her and the last two were taken today. She has been a great mom. They all love riding on her back. It's so stinking cute.

I keep trying to register, however it just keeps telling me that the link on their site could not be found. I think they are having technical issues now.
Darn, I wish I had acted faster, and I could have gone to the Wharton class!! Wharton is so close to me!!
I am just a backyard chicken owner, and I have no special training as far as animal husbandry is concerned.
Do I need any special training before attending?
I am no science major, and not a vet tech.

Any one have a quick link for dogs killing an entire flock in the city limits? Two dogs (who have owners, just not sure who they are) have been running around the nieghborhood. They got into my back yard and under the 10x10 kennel we have set up over the coop and took out all my girls. I've called animal control, would love to have the owners pay but I'm not holding much hope right now

I'm pretty sure they are responsible dog are not allowed to run loose. Also if you catch them in your yard you have the right to do whatever you want even lethal if necessary
