Black Ameraucana 2 pullets and a cockerel I also have two self/blue hens

We lost one of our lavender orpington to the cold the other day, and "storm," our other rooster is the only lavender orpington we have left, I mean those 2 were the only ones that we had to begin with. Storm is very sweet and has never pecked anyone, even our leghorn rooster will chase him around sometimes.

Sorry you lost one was he in a coop with others or alone? What part of Texas are you in that got so cold?

Hi everyone, I'm a chicken newbie from South Texas. I'm down by Galveston. We don't have chickens yet but it's on the list for 2018. We need fencing and a coop first! I wish I could say I'm handy and could make my own but that would be a lie. I'd like to change it though! I have a line on a bunch of pallets so I may try my hand.
