You can usually find these lights cheaper but as this one gives you an adjustable angle head 20 bucks is fine for a 10 dollar chineese knockoff product. I might ship them a cheep charger a a couple of my chinese batteries. It will suffice naturally, I would never part with my samsungs, or sony Japanese manufactured batteries.

Thinking about getting one for traveling. Especially with the report of bedbugs in some of the better motels. Have walked out of some after flipping the covers back and checking and checking for cleanliness. This would illuminate things the eye might not see.

Good luck. Surely you will find some close to you to help the young folks. I was looking at a fire pit made by Lone Star Grillz in Willis. Since that is close to you, I was wondering if you might have some knowledge of them and their work. By the way, I think Jolene is a great name.

Thanks! Jolene is the first horse we foaled out here, we have a habit of naming favorites after Dolly Parton.

Just a quick update, on my new silkie lodge that is "under construction" at the moment. Tback row of 4x4x12's are planted about 2.25 ft deep, the row in front of those are 4x4x10's at 2.5 ft depth for the exterior. The last row of 8 foot landscaping timbers obviously will be the run. . I need to shorten 3 of the 4x4x12's the chainsaw to provide a privacy fencing between myself and the neighbor(I do like them they just built their house way close to ours).

Next week I do have to pull out a 4x4x10 from the coop(Using the Wranglers 4L no man sweating there)as it isn't properly squared, and do some chainsaw work on it's 4x4x12's to level them out. Then get on to the task of doing the basic structural work of the final 4x4 framing for the roof and walls.

The last 3 4x4x12's are being held in reserve for some type of equine enclosure. My wife has always wanted. I'm already scheming on how I can get a breeding coop in between the two with a modification of the run as well.

Obviously, this project is a slow moving thing, due to A both my financial status, B a need to reclaim some other 2x4x10's and 2x4x8's so they can take a redwood stain, and C the fact that I have 6-8 weeks before they will be moved outside. The roosts will only be 1 foot off the ground with hardware cloth set 2 foot high so they can look out at night(silkies right?). My sumatra are flighted they fly themselves in every night and out every morning. It is going to be interesting to experience non flighted chicken. Definately, I am going to enjoy the laying boxes that will be built so I will never have to crawl back under a 4 foot space to collect eggs. Another reason I am building so big is I am tired of that "crud" experience.

Wife and I are forgoing retiree beer/wine/scotch o'clock to pay for it all.

I'm thinking this will be an addition for the door as well so I can just set the timer and forget it. I have gotten so used to never opening up the coop door. Those Sumatra spoil me!

I'm not near Houston but we have been getting torrential rain since 5:30 am. It's starting to taper off now but I think theres more coming in behind these storms. Thankfully, no hail or tornados.
