Anyone on here from the Corpus Christi area? I'm about 30 min north of Corpus and new(ish) to raising chickens.

I'm outside Orange Grove. I live making local chicken friends

I do have my coop set up, and I have quite the menagerie of breeds (I like a colorful flock). I'm strictly keeping for eggs and enjoying the birds, not meat production at this time. We have 10 acres and a horse barn that I converted a 10x10 stall into a chicken coop. I wanted lots of ventilation because....well, its hot lol. Thanks for the welcome!

It sounds like I might need to visit and check it out! I love to check out other people's setups. And if course I make biosecurity a priority, no worries! What breeds do you have? I have quite a mixed flock of apx 50 myself, on 5 acres.

We are located in Gaines County, just 45 minutes from the New Mexico state line. I hope all of you are surviving the rains and storms. We have so many springs on our property that my chicken runs haven't been completely dry for several weeks. I think I need ducks.
