This was a yuck moment. We knew it was close when the wind died down suddenly. We did the plant drag to the porch on the south side of the house and my 5 Pineapples will overnight for the next two nights before going back outside.

Not much better here at 55.4F our clouds are scheduled to start breaking tomorrow afternoon. Pineapples are still coming back inside the house. The chicken got about 15 eggs scrambled up before bedtime tonight. I also exposed a compost pile for my big girls around 5:10 PM. They only have it half way dug through so I am betting that will be breakfast tomorrow.

It really doesn't look too bad statewide on https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap lowest in the Panhandle is like 31 and highest is 61 at SPI. Folks in the Panhandle and North Texas expect this stuff in December. Honestly, my job was easy move in 5 pineapples and bring my Crown of Thorns up on to the porch, just was cussing myself for transplanting that thorny beast last week from a 5 to a 15 gallon container. I order containers in bulk and have grown to love these things https://www.greenhousemegastore.com/root-pouch-boxer-brown-fabric-pot-longest-lifespan they prevent roots from growing in circles in containers and strangling themselves. As a huge plus they are 100% made from recycles PET plastics and the Texas sun doesn't damage them(highly UV resistant buggers), the grey versions they sell are durable but nothing compared to the brown ones.

Sweet last warmth for a while, look at that COLD front! ewww, ikky ewww! It Seems we will be staying 10F warmer for it than HOU. Still it will result in a pineapple drag only. Crown of thorns can stay where it is.
