Texas

Woohoo that was a cool blast in the shorts. I think we made it down to 68 Fahrenheit overnight. I don't think the tomato plants care they're still fruiting.
44°F here this morning, got 1" rain when the front was pushing through...tapered off but still getting a sprinkle here and there.

We have had enough here, every time I try to do some yard work, it starts raining.
That's sad I am just wishing I could mow my yard. This last year has really been that dry. I honestly believe I only have one small patch of grass left it lives over the septic system.

If you are investing in orange juice futures count the Rio grande Valley out this year.

Sitting at 62°F this morning. Brisk! Couple of sprinkles last night. Enough to wet most of the dirt down, but not enough to get the edges.

Started to leave the week old quail out last night. Glad I didn't.

Welcome! I'm near Baytown with hens in the backyard. This is year 3 with chickens for me. A wonderful and delicious hobby.
I’m looking forward to reaping the rewards for sure! I had 4 last year but lost them to a predator at a couple of months old. Decided to try again back in January and got a lot more serious about it, bought a coop, made it as secure as I could, etc. hoping for eggs next month!

Better luck this year! Brother has a lot of predator issues. From the hawks nesting in the tree in the front yard to raccoon, owls, possums and stray dogs. A secure coop is a must.

Of course, he has 40 acres and I'm limited to my backyard. Makes a world of difference.

Cheers and enjoy the cool rain today! Summer is coming.
