Texas

@electrycmonk fellow weathernerd! I just do not like the models for these things pointing my way. Looking like Rockport and Corpus to me. Still all the rain falls north and east. Appears to at least be an in a hurry system. So not putting a can of soup on the shopping list yet. I still bet it will be named by noon. The Gulf is so hot right now. https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo.php?basin=atlc&fdays=2

5:45am imagery seems to show the first indications closed circulation is starting is why I say that. https://cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov//GOES16/ABI/SECTOR/GM/13/GOES16-GM-13-1000x1000.gif
Dude! I feel your pain. I agree on the "Hurry up offense" reference applied to #8! I was really looking at the imagery after my reply last night..... Noticed the development just now.

Doesn't look like it's gotten named just yet BUT, I'd give it to you if it's called before "the drive home" as it were....

(Fingers crossed for these cropped images to upload) I got a nice shot showing the surface winds rotation as the radar was downloading.....
[Use your imagination please as cropped pic fails for the last 15+ minutes]
And then once downloaded...
[Same situation]
Decided to restock our toilet paper and buy a few extra soups pasta and sauce not anything crazy but the pantry was getting low anyway. I was conservative and only bought the one box of wine so DW and I will get thru fine unless we lose power and the entertainment stuff. Tomorrow is a reloading of the feed bins(TSC run) as they are getting empty and I don't wanna be chasing after those with winds.

4x4 full on Gas again, and I'll probably recheck all the batteries are charged tomorrow. Usually our storm related outages are short term around here as we live near the windmill farms.

Unrelated, my little township finally got a traffic light today one of those high tech ones than can display all three colors. I wish they would have installed demand sensors too but that was probably over the top.

FWIW our local TSC are on back order status for PZD from the shipper/RDC's. I got the last 2 in our 2 store area of Denton yesterday.

Feed seems to finally be stabilizing again though.

Just finished the 2nd roosting rail w/poop board.

Gonna crop the pics even more then the WX screenshots to try and upload via the cell tower instead of our DSL. (Fingers and toes crossed)

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it
