Wind velocity in WX maps has always held fascination and wonder in my eyes.
Case in point the massive North Arctic vortex slamming the Russian coastline at top of this image with the 2 Pacific Hurricane/Typhoons down center:

Then you get to see the entire Mid to North Atlantic spiral in beautiful form:

And from time to time (like now) I still wonder why we don't hear of any southern hemisphere Atlantic hurricanes. Sure the Pacific has Typhoons that go south. Case in point the two currently dancing on the equatorial zone now. Anyways, here's the current Southern Atlantic with some sizable spiral zones:
