Texas

Ok I really hate being such a whiner, but owww. I really have some muscle aches even sitting at a computer keyboard. I cannot believe I have gotten THIS old that changing a tire can bring me to drama queen status. The scraped up knees are not an issue at all nor the cuts to my hands. Regardless Monday will see me getting a new jack and a bit for my impact wrench plus a new/used spare tire. @007Sean was right this oem stuff is garbage. It shouldn't be so hard to change out a tire. It is uaceptable to imagine my wife in that situation that is the scary part and those are the tools she would need. Not the Jeep/Fiat ones.
Epsom salt in a hot bath. It helps. Bengay, use disposable gloves-believe me on this. One time, sore muscles, used Bengay, rinsed hands, later i went to pee, ohhhhh buddy-i will never make that mistake again! And DON'T try to soak in HOT bathtub to clean that area. Hot water makes bengay hotter.

I am still so upset that the stock Jeep/Fiat jack is barely adequate for stock tires. What if I had 31 inch tires? The new jack is now a major priority. I was at a point I was just going to drive off the jack because they put a bend in it that makes it great for raising but impossible to lower it and it is a 4x4. Fortunately someone stopped to help me at that point as I was probably laying in the grass defeated. The old jack goes to the recycling center on Monday as well as it is just junk. I bet I get less than $1.50 for it. The reason I mention it is the Jeep will be paid off soon and DW wants bigger tires and 31's are as large as you can go without a lift kit getting installed for our JK. Pretty sure I owe less than 2500 on it now so not even a months pay to actually own it. Just checked and Jeeps aint cheap:

When its paid off, continue to make a payment for the same amount. You've been living without that money-continue living ithout it-and deposit into a separate SAVING account. Then when you do decide to get another vehicle, you'll have a decent/good down payment or a good amount for a cash car. I did that and paid cash for my new 2020 civic. Traded old vehicle in and paid the rest cash. They will cut price more when its not financed.

Going back to the teutonic thing it is real. I have lived with one since 2004. Not folk you want to cross and even if you haven't every 2-3 years there will be an issue that requires medical bills or medical experience or home repairs. It is just reality. I cannot count the times I had to patch her up over the years. Or houses.

I still bet I am the only Texan insanely fixate on the Americas Cup.

Try The PepperGal.com , you can get any kind of pepper seed you want from her. I have ordered from her many times, she also carries salt peter....vital for the hottest peppers to soak in before planting...better and faster germination.
@muddy75 Show Mr. Muddy this site!

So reflecting on owning a Belgian Mallinois. It is an expert level dog to train and exercise. Well beyond my abilities thankfully DW does the heavy lifting with him she wanted him bought. He requires 15 minutes every hour of play but responds to commands great. Please never get one unless you can make that commitment. German Shepherds are so much easier. Sure he will bring any grown man down on his back, but is a real PITA otherwise.

So I love my sister she is a few years older than I am. Her birthday is tomorrow but I think I found the perfect gift for her. It is ordered(late) and on the way. She has a masters degree and a TAMU Aggie Summa Cum Laude bachelors degree. Shirt totally reminded me of her and her strong back for dealing with BS lord knows I am not in her league for that and she is an educator now. I am more of a hammer and nail kind of guy, every problem looks like a nail.
