Texas

Like Greg Abbott or anyone else in the Capitol Bldg can do anything about this.

This is an absolutely unprecedented event, like a lot of other recent events. I was telling my sister-in-law just yesterday that the linemen down here know all about working in the rain but they don’t know a damn thing about working in subfreezing temps and snow so they’re just going to have to do the best they can and I can guarantee you that they’re doing that. The utility companies are the ones that’ll get power and water up and running again and they’ll get those services up as soon as they possibly can because their families are doing without as well. I don’t bother listening to these talking heads telling us all to “keep hope alive” while nestled snug in their taxpayer-funded bunkers and no one else should either. When God is good and ready, he’ll turn the thermostat back up. Until then we’ll just have to take Jimmy Carter’s advice and wear a sweater.
Tank tee, crewneck tee, long sleeve tee, long sleeve shirt, sweat shirt
THEN the sweater,
Then carthart coat.

Is there a fund to help out Texans struggling the most under mighty bad conditions? If so please send the info in a convo.
None that I know of. Were pretty independent (not sure thats a good) and just rely on ourselves (at least I do) to get what needs to be done-done.🤔
