Hey friends,
Anyone wanting to get into isbars? I hatched out 5 first gen greenfire farms in may and I ended up with 3 splash roos and 2beautiful splash blue pullets. I am wanting to sell two of the roos because we r hurting for $$ right now. They are a great prolific laying breed that is extremely rare. PM me if you are interested. I'mnear Dallas.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
We only did it because a friend gave us the bator & wanted us to do it for half the chicks (he bought eggs). We started with 2 dozen BPR eggs for him & we got 6 Speckled Sussex & 4 Silver Sussex + put in 1 Bantam from our chickens & 1 egg from a red colored regular kind of hen bred to our American Game roo. Anyway we ended up with 8 Barred Rocks, 1 Speckled Sussex, the Game/red hen chick & the Bantam chick. We helped 3 more of the Sussex eggs hatch but they lived 3 days & died (all had problems)
Thats it for us, we'll let our American Game hens who are always broody hatch anymore that we might want....
