It's nice to see that I'm not the only one with an exhaust fan in the coopFun fact: there's no longer a link to the model I bought. It's the Producer's Pride Easy-Clean Walk-In Coop model WCC-W. I searched the website, google, etc. and it's just...gone. The packaging said, "Chick Days 2022," which makes me think it was a limited-time thing. It sold out fast. Hopefully, they bring it back next year.
Here's a screenshot I took when I ordered it. Then the American coop from Carolina Coops it resembles. Lastly, here are some pictures of my coop. Which is, of course, still a work in progress.
(Thinks to self) “did I ever update my coop thread with a picture of the exhaust fan on steroids?”It's nice to see that I'm not the only one with an exhaust fan in the coop![]()
Please do share, honestly I get tired of hearing that if you have a fan everything will go up in flames, lol(Thinks to self) “did I ever update my coop thread with a picture of the exhaust fan on steroids?”
Most of the people who told me "no fans" were from north of the Mason-Dixon line. My response is, "y'all just don't know!"Please do share, honestly I get tired of hearing that if you have a fan everything will go up in flames, lol

The fan I bought is rated for outdoor commercial use and mentions barns as one of the recommended locations. I took that to mean chicken coops = okay.
Prefect, lol! Yep same with my fan, outdoor use, I give it a dusting every now and then and that's about it, been working like a charm for over a yearMost of the people who told me "no fans" were from north of the Mason-Dixon line. My response is, "y'all just don't know!"

At least once a year I hit that fan (outside in the yard) with the pressure washer. It was about this time last year.. when we put another coat of lime wash on the inside and also emptied the litter to the compost….Prefect, lol!
