I think everyone will overreact. The media will make this the #1 news event for the next couple days. Then the tropical storm/hurricane/monsoon/major flood will slide off to the west. A no show slight rain event. By then the media will have found something else to target-monkeypox comes to mind, ithasnt been mentioned in a hot minute

Yep, I don't think we will see a single drop! For us to get any appreciable rain, disturbances or canes need to come on-shore at Corpus or Port O' Connor. This thing is supposed to hit Northern Mexico.
