Texas

I have a trio of ducks available if anyone's interested.
I have a drake and two hens available, they are egg laying age and fully grown.
The buff orpington female is over a year old and lays blue eggs, the saxony/buff female is only four months old and she is already a big un!
The drake is a buff orpington, and he is from the same batch as the female who lays blue eggs.

I'm asking 15 per duck, and 10 for the drake, but I will also consider trading, just pm me to make your offer.
All females have the potential to lay blue eggs and the male will most likely father blue eggers.

If you are interested pm me and I will be sure to give you updated photos, and I can answer any questions you may have.

I did see your thread about them! I was actually going to get ducks next year and I was going to get two buffs. I'm not ready for any now though.
I would recommend more than two. They're a lovely choice, I really liked mine, super personable and a great utility breed.

I'm planning on not getting any, but I'll be ordering from a hatchery so I may accidentally get one. I was planning to free range them with our chickens.
Ohhhh, okay. I was thinking you were just going to get a drake and a hen😂
Accidental drakes are not very common in the duck world. It happens but ducks are significantly easier to sex than chickens, so it's a rare thing.

If you do get an accidental welsh drake you may have a problem on your hands tho, they have very high libido and may harass your chickens, mine never have, but it can be a fatal problem.
If that happens let me know, I may be willing to trade you for a hen if I am able.

I wouldn't only get 2 ducks. 😅
I'll let you know if I get a drake! What would you plan on doing with him?

I would most likely keep him for breeding. Especially if he's a metzer drake, they have some of the better drakes. Cackle has a few decent welshies too, but I've seen a few uglies😂
My current drake is related to all my hens, and I would rather use an unrelated drake for breeding. And after I hatch some girls I'll need a new drake anyways, and I don't mind trading, that way you'd still have the amount of hens you originally wanted.
If he's butt ugly you may just want to re-home him to someone who wants a pet. I'm one of those people who eats the uglies😂
I've kept drake flocks in the past, they're fun, and quiet, but I just don't have the time for another one atm. Only my breeders are staying.
