Yup I had to change all my hygiene products because of sulfa lurate. I'm allergic to sulfa drugs so I figure I'm allergic to all sulfa based things.
I am also allergic to sulfa drugs. I don't have a problem with detergents... But my husband has a problem with the scents in most soap, so we use "all" detergent, so he doesn't get a rash.
I have a friend with a severe reaction to dogs. He uses Montelukast (which is technically an asthma drug) to great effect. Stopped the hives he was getting.

The start of all this was freshly washed sheets (tide). Have been using it for most my life. We changed just the detergent first to something not as strong and with no dye or sent seamed to work for a few days. I washed everything in vinegar water solution to get the tide residue out. Had an issue brushing my teeth, my lips and inside of my lips broke out. Toothpaste has the sulfa laurate in it. Changed the toothpaste and that issue went away.

So I do think I have issues with sulfa and sulfate and other sulfur compounds. Could be even with it in onions and garlic. They both give me gastrointestinal issues when I eat them. So could be something I'm eating or something in the yard. 😣

Well, I screwed up. Bigtime.
Cleaning an overgrown flowerbed, trying to pull vines outta tree. Vine gave way same time i stepped back, and fell. Hit riding mower, bounced, hit tire, bounced hit ground. My ribs hurt, got all the animals fed, watered before I came to house, and pain gets worse.
I hope you can find some temporary help around there. Take it easy!

Ugh, I'm battling hives for going on 3 months now. Meds are not working anymore. They where suppressed for a week or two with strong dose of steroids but once they wore off they came back worse than before. The basic allergy test turned up nothing. Have a dr appointment today. I really need this fix ed d soon. Would like to stop having to call in because of it. It gets really bad, so much so I can't sleep.😣
Are you certain it's hives? Could it be shingles?

Some types of dermatitis can be worsened by steroid treatment, especially those that are aggravated by sulfa. For instance, peri oral dermatitis and (yeast) candida type dermatitis.

It was repressed by the steroids. No it's not shingles. Doesn't hurt enough not is it just one side. It's over my whole body and not always in the same places all the time.

Been to the doctor many times so far. Allergy treatment seamed to help for a time. Steroids are about the only thing that repressed it. When they wore off it was a gradual increase of a burning/itchy sensation before the welts came up. Sometimes the welts are very large sometimes they are small. It seams like heat or sweat bring them on but that's not always the case. Cold does help. Cold water wash cloth, cold metal, heck I used alovera w/ladacain in it like for sunburn and it helped for a bit.

When we were clearing our property and getting it ready, my husband got into some poison oak and was a hot mess for a few months, he ended up spreading it cuz he wouldn't stop itching. Finally with steroids and coating him every morning before work, and after with calamine lotion, and changing the bedding every few days it cleared up. I felt so bad for him!

Well I'm going to be trying a limited diet and a new antihistamine with steroids again from the doctor. Will be setting up another appointment for allergy specialist because well the hives were not happening the last time I went. Weee more doctors and money. 😣😔 Just so tired of my body trying to irrate me to death. Hope it gets sorted out this time.

Have you tried oatmeal baths? It won't cure you, but it might give you a little relief.

I'm not going to lie, I'm amazed you bounced that much.
Congrats on feeding and watering the animals, despite the bone deep bruises you probably now have.
May is suggest taking ibuprofen before everything tightens up and you can't move?
Feel better!
Took 2 ibuprofen and 2 acetaminophen immediately. Took Epsom salt bath, slept 3 hours. I'm not hurting as bad as I thought I would. Moving slow......
