R.I.P. to my favorite pullet! Morticia Adams passed last night durring the freeze. My 10yo and I are heartbroken!
I believe she may have been eggbound but not sure....DW says she hasnt seen her eat for the past few days....
They were my favorite breed too!

Does anyone know if there is a grain mill near Austin to get fresh chicken feed? Not organic, such as Coyote Creek Farms (good food just pruddy darn expensive). Thanks!

A weasel just got into my coop! Ripped HUNDREDS of feathers out of my BR hen, scared my polish roo and guinea away, and bit the BRs ear lobe and her eye is shut and wet. Please pray that my ONE and only guinea and my polish roo comes back. ;(

I will let yall know how my BR hen does.
