Mine do the same thing.Why do chickens insist on being outside in the rain? Had to chase them down in the pouring rain. I got them back in the run. They have a coop, a covered run and an under the coop place. All three areas are completely dry. But no, they want to be frolicking around in the rain.Wet chickens kinda look creepy imo

Yesterday, I let them go about their business in the rain. Today I’m trying to keep them dry. It has been pouring two days in a row, the temp dropped and it’s windy. Don’t want them sick so I’m trying to get them to dry out today. They were sopping wet most of yesterday. Maybe I’m just being paranoid
I was cold after chasing them and they had a respiratory infection earlier this year. It’ll be nicer weather but then comes the worries of winter. Should be easier than the heat? At least chickens are super insulated.
The only good thing about the drought.
