Texas

We've entered that fun zone in Central TX where rain makes things worse. Barely cools things off, increases humidity, and creates prime conditions for breeding mosquitos. Can't win!
It has rained here almost non stop for 7 to 9 days! We seam to be getting a week break from it then its coming back.

The heat is back! 🥵

I put out 3 bags of large flake shavings just yesterday and didn’t break a sweat and today just letting out chickens and feeding I'm drenched.
Not laughing at you, but with you, I went out at 9am to do waterers and poop boards and was dripping within 10 minutes 🤣

In the last couple of hours we've had 0.78" of rain--woo hoo!:clap What a change from '22 and '23; we've had a halfway decent summer so far, precip events every month and everything still green, although it's mostly superficial. Lots of grasshoppers for the girls to hunt, too. Fingers crossed we can keep temps under 100 degrees until October....

***Attention all “Armchair Hurricane quarterbacks”***

Time to light a fire in the pit, break open a cold one, kick back and start chewing on the modeling data points.

We didn’t really get to get started with Beryl….

So for those new to the realm of Chickens and other animal fun here in the Tejas state of existence….

Here is a fun website as a primer:
