Wow, I've been wandering around BYC for awhile but haven't posted here yet. ::sorry:

I'm located near San Antonio. I've actually met quite a few wonderful people from here already!

There are a lot of BYC members in the central Texas area around Austin & San Antonio.

I looked at your website. Stunning animals ! We used to raise quarter horses, but kids, family, work, etc. put them on the back burner. It's chickens instead now.

hi my name is deana and i live in Decatur Texas. I just joined this group i think about a week ago now.
am owned by 6 RIR's. I also have a bunch other i need to ask dh what the breeds are, we rescued them from someon off craigslist and have a ball watching all them. I do know i have 2 cochins silkie i think, Americauna hope that is spelled right he is my rooster well one of them anyway. 1 leghorn, and not to sure of the other breeds. I think i have pics of them if so i will post if not i will get them. We are having a blast with our chickens. so far i am up to 3 dozen eggs they have laid so far. Not sure who is doing the laying but that is fine with me glad they are finally coming in. Gave my mom a dozen for her to try out and she loved them.

My family consists of my husband richard we have been together for 16 yrs now. 3 girls ages 19, 15, and 13. my oldest is pregnant with our first grandbaby its a boy. She is due in march. The family is owned by 4 dogs, rabbit, 3 birds, 2 calves we just finished bottle feeding about a month ago, 1 pygmie goat we lost her mate this past ice storm not sure why. 1 rescued pot belly pig, 2 feeder pigs. wonder if i left anyone out lol.
Hope to get to know some other texans here. and learn along the way

I have Dominiques, Delawares, Crevecoeurs and Easter Eggers, on 10 acres of East Texas woods.
I am interested in chicks/hatching eggs of the following breeds; Auracana, Ameraucana, Dominique, Delaware, Crevecoeur, Collonocas, Quetros, Specked Sussex, Black Copper Marans and probably a few more.
