I personally want to get two or three muscovys for the eggs. never had duck eggs before but I heard they are good. That and I can try and make some art out of the egg shells.

I love the muscovys.. cute little tail wags

my giant pekins have been laying for weeks.. the cayugas give me an egg here and there.. but I don't think the muscovy girls have started yet this spring

I am lucky DH is letting me try and find chickies elsewhere aside from the feed store where it will more than likely just be RIR, White Leghorn, Barred Rock, or broilers. Are your muscovy's really messy? And do you happen to have them in with your chicken flock? If so how do they do?

I am worried about doing something wrong if I make it myself... =/ I guess it is live and learn. The other problem I have is that I leave for work at about 6 in the morning, and don't get home till about 7 or 8 at night, and the days that I do work, I worry about how I am going to turn the eggs.

I just realized - I've spent absolutely the entire day on BYC and totally ignored work.

I mean - totally ignored work. Um....ooopsy?
