And danes are supposed to excellent guard/estate dogs! he has never show any aggression toward our other animals including cats. he prances around with the horse too, kinda funny to watch...i believe he thinks that the horse is just a big dog, and horse looks at him as just a small pony, lol

I've raised a lot of goat, sheep and calf bottle babies. It works best if you have a milking doe, ewe or cow handy to give them colostrum and fresh raw milk. Milk replacer will work if you don't.. but there seems to be a lot less dietary issues and (in my opinion) better growth of the kids when they are fed "real" milk.
When I worked at the dairy it was standard practice to pull the kids so their mothers could go into the milking herd.. naturally they would have to be hand milked for the first few days.. but after that they went on the machines. The kids were either bottle fed if we only had a few.. or put on a "lamb bar" which is a bucket set up with nipples so you can feed several at a time.
Since one of the goats I am getting is in milk right now.. I'm planning on freezing several gallons just to have on hand for next spring when the new kids will be due.

We used to have a blue female dane.. she always thought she was so tiny.. when in fact she was about the size of our miniature horse. She couldn't grasp the idea that the dachshund could go places where she wouldn't fit!

he tries to follow the bostons around...i think thats why ive caught him digging a time or 2. the little bostons can squeeze through the fence, and it irritates him to no end, lol

My Family!

DH's cat Niagra. His mood has improved since we have been letting him go outside. he likes drinking out of the chickens water bowl and teasing the dog.

My current flock of two! Fleur de lis my salmon faverolle hen, and Soisti my salmon faverolle roo.

Fleur, she is probably not show quality with her beard having speckles, but I like her. I got her from a breeder who was just starting out on sf's, and she bought hatching eggs for stock and was trying to get rid of her extra roo's, thus how I got a pair.

Soisti my salmon faverolle roo. Anyone know if he looks show quality or not?

Fleur beign currious.

DH standing in front of my coop for size reference.

DH standing inside my coop. He is about six foot six inches and he is slightly leaning against the wall.

DH's german shepherd. His name is Weiss, it means white in german. He is a very sweet boy, love to cuddle. Just turned a year old in february.

Weiss again.
