You hope. You wish. Good luck. When do you move?
June-ish. Nothing set in stone yet. Of course I haven't entirely given up hoping that I will magically figure out a way to bring all my hens with me. Sigh... then again I am also dreaming of starting over with some hot-weather breeds instead. That Storey's Guide to Poultry Book makes for very dangerous bedside reading!

SHROEDINGER's CAT!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!! LOve it!!!

and the chicks too...they look a little lighter than my guy, could be buff...mine is 2 weeks old. the gray one could be silver laced still. if it has 5 toes, might be a crevecour!

No five toes except on my SGDs. People warned me against Ideal's SGDs - saying how they often showed up with only four toes and their colouration was all wrong, etc. So far...well...all of 'em have five toes - and, not fused toes, either. And, their markings seem to be pretty spot on (unless some of these with "eyeliner" are actually males...then we have some fun happening). We'll see as they grow up; but, it looks like Ideal might have actually kept their SGDs out of the menagerie....who knows? With hatcheries, it's anyone's guess.

As for the Polish - not sure how long they'll be part of the flock. It's anyone's guess

May fall in love with them...may cull them first. Never know.

did you get them from IDEAL?

Yeah - they were actually at my LFS when I stopped by to talk to Abby (gal who breeds Favs), and they were the only three chicks left. Tomorrow's delivery day. They looked so lonely that I couldn't leave them there...so, they got tossed in the brooder with four keets and 20 SGDs.....and, most likely six to eight more keets come Saturday evening.........
