I had a terrible Easter hatch. I only got 3 out of 28 set. 2 OE and 1 EE that I had to help out of the shell. I'm throwing that incubator away!

Ok with me! Yep I had 2 sets of lav eggs from someone else, 1st hatch I got 1 lav and 1 blk split, 2nd hatch I got 1 lav... Yours is my 3rd shot at it. Been talking to those eggs every day

Oh no!! I'm so sorry :(

We live outside of San Antonio and the weather man said we had a good chanch of rain today Even the cows were mostly laying down in the fields around here a good indication of rain coming but so far all it has done is a few drops here and there earlier this evening then nothing. Hope someone somewhere in Texas gets it. We need it sooooooooooooo bad here.

Husband put about 30 eggs in our incubator to see how it was working this spring and now we have 25 little chicks in the bathroom born this past Monday..

He got a Dicky incubator last yr and wanted to see how it worked after resting this past winter. So we fired it up and wow everything worked temp and humidity no need to change or touch anything. So now he has Basque Chicken eggs, Swedish Flower Hen and Speckled Sussex eggs in it. He said that that incubator was worth his SS check for that month. So this past month he bought another one from Mr Dicky via his SS again and its working great also. He has become a Chicken addict and I am always telling him NO more buying eggs he has enough chickens now to lay eggs and fill both incubators by summer time.

My gooslings have become teenagers. They know everything and you know nothing....

They will be 12 weeks old come Tuesday. 10 Ebdlem geese with Burt as their leader.

I have spent up to an hr trying to get them into their pen at night and forget it. They will not go in they perfer to sleep under the utility light beside their pen. They are getting really big fast.

I put an ad on Craig's list to sell some of them but so far nothing has come of it. If anyone reading this is near San Antonio area and are interested in them holler at me please.

They make great watch dogs. I go out at night to check them and there is Burt watching... never fails to know what is going on at all times it seems.

We have 2 African geese George and Alice and they perfer their pen at night. Alice started to lay eggs this spring but will not sit them so Fussy the little duck has taken them with her eggs to hatch out. She and Henry live with George and Alice.

Those 2 I know never sleep it seems cause if you hear George honking you know something amist. Day or night. Usually its one of the yard roosters that is out roaming when he should be in the bachlor house sleeping or Mouse one of the yard cats going to the shed to feed her kittens. And if the tom cats are getting ready to fight George will let you know about it..he starts honking and then the yard dogs start barking and out the door we go with the flashlight to see what is going on.

Well for those of us that live in Texas we pray you get it and please keep us in mind down here in Southwest area

Happy Easter to everyone

Does anyone on here want to buy some Silkie chicks in about 20 days? Sarah Chunn in Cleveland is hatching some eggs she set them yesterday.

any idea of what went wrong?
I don't know. It was an old cooler-bator that I hadn't used in a while and I used it for the EE hatch-along. Temp and humidity is hard to keep constant in it and I guess the weather being hot one day and cold the next and my house not being central air and the fresh air circulation in it is not good and a bunch weren't fertile.......

It was my worst hatch ever!

I'm starting tomorrow on a new incubator. I'll keep using my "vintage" hoovabator (if it holds out) till it's done.
