My Texas Size Chicken Tractor. Just started it today.

I have several PVC coops to make.. hopefully one will turn itself into a greenhouse/plant protector from evil cows and deer.. lol
my neighbor has a frame like that in his back yard! ive wondered if he would sell it! it would make an exelent green house! but in this area the only thing grown in a green house is well.... pot! dont want any attention drawn to my house by peeps tryin to steal my wifes cabbage! lol

Oh lorday that made me laugh...

we're trying to figure out how to protect the hugulekulture beds I want to put in...I don't want it to be too obnoxious a protection; but, at the same time, we have deer out the wazoo here (hello, the name of my road is FAWN Glen - they weren't joking). It's lovely to watch them run and play on the property - but, it sucks roadkill to see what they do to my plants

I plan to cover mine with poultry netting (chicken wire) and shade cloth.. so HOPEFULLY it protects not only from deer and cattle.. but that darn scalding sun too

and when it's not being a greenhouse plant protector it can do duty as a chick pen

when they come up to the living room windows and look in to watch tv..let me know (we have several that do that)

Oh my goodness. I can't imagine them getting that brave...though, if they do, I will be sure to let you know.

I've been within an arm's distance of some of these guys.. one big ol doe is the bravest of the bunch.. she will stay just about 3 inches out of reach... look at me.. snort .. stomp a foot and walk about a foot away and dare me to follow her

When we had the drought they would come running when they heard me turn on the hose.. and wait for me to fill water pans for them.

they have me so well trained.......
