Internet was out when the power came back on but it's back now

Power came back on at 7. Almost 4 hours but all the hatching chicks made it. One still to go but it's ok. Hopefully the other eggs die to hatch the next couple of weekends made it.

Glad to know all made it. We never lost power, just a little sleep.

Dont look too good for my wyanhamas! One was born with its belly open and the other has a bleeding umbilical that wont stop!
Oh and another crooked neck! I didnt help it this time!

Ouch, sorry. Looks like you're going to need to study up on what's causing this and what to do about it. (Said by someone who has no idea what she's talking about...)

  If you have a way to heat water you can put it in a gallon ziplock freezer bag and lay it on top of the bator to keep the temp up!

for the open navels.. your temp had to have been a bit too high.. do you have any iodine? If not neosporin might help as well

the wry neck can also be caused by high temps.. and a vitamin deficiency in the parent stock will cause it as well

No. 2 pullets -their 17 weeks old now that we got for friends to my only SS that hatched from our failed bator experiment

the temp was about right... seemed a bit cool to me but when i checked it it was just right... i tried the TAO but it didnt work! dont have any munkey blood as DW calls it... i couldnt stand watchin it bleed out like that so i culld it and the other... so far those are the only ones out of a dz that were well defects....
woke up to another ded ideal chick! his time my fav lil golden blue munchkin! that makes 4 in 3 days since arriving! not cool! thinkin ima give them a call in the mornin... also thinkin im with yall on not orderin from them again... thinkin i may fork out the extra CHUNKA change for sand hill stock but i will have to do some serious thinkin on that! i may only get one or 2 breeds from them... but thats a yr away...
all this on DWs birth dae! at least shes gettin much needed sleep! now i gotta take care of the girls!!!!
