My daughter loved her long hair, but refused to take care of it. She'd never brush it, would sulk pout and whine while I did, SHE would cut bits and pieces off here and there. I finally had it. I took her in to the barber and had it chopped to her chin in a short bob.
She loves it.
Oh well. At least it's easy for her to care for now, and she'll learn the proper ways to care for it as it grows back out, if she wants to.
Kinda makes me mad though. She has the prettiest thickest most beautiful hair! Mine is thin and fragile. It's splitty and it breaks if you look at it funny. My braid is THINNER than one of her braided pigtails. I baby my hair to try and grow it out, and she treats hers like crap. She should treasure having such a beautiful head of hair! Oh well. Our children exsist to try us some days I suppose. She's only 9 though. Maybe she'll learn what a wonderful thing she has in her hair. Or maybe not. I can't make her, and if she won't, well It's her hair after all. *sigh*
