Quote: After reading what Kilsharion wrote about the gro gel I think i would get rid of it.. You're better off with a poultry vitamin.. BUT if it's a failure to grow chick as I suspect.. then the vitamins just won't do it any good. For the failure chicks there is usually something wrong with them internally and they never do well or make it to adulthood.
If you are determined to try though.. toss the gro gel.. no need for the chick to be filling up on it if it's not going to do much good.. and replace it with the boiled egg.. a little molasses.. maybe some unsweetened yogurt or kefir if you have access to it instead of regular milk (if you can get raw goats milk though that would be a plus). If you're fermenting feed I would switch it over to fermented as well.
If the chick goes down to where it refuses to eat you would have to force feed it or cull it.. i hate to tell you that.. but it's just how it is. Personally I would cull it at that point.. but i realize you want to do what you can to try to save it.
