I concur and all I have right now is little dogs. An eskimo mix and a chihuahua. But mine a mostly trained. They know what they are supposed to bark at, chase and kill and how to play with our son, but they are still way spoiled. Infact, they're in bed with me right now

Shoot, we spoil my dh's dog too. He gets to sleep on the bed sometimes. There is no harm in spoiling your dogs a bit. There is just a point when it becomes too much. Weiss is even alowed on the couch when he is invited up. Same as the bed, only when he is invited.

Remind me that staying up after 10pm is a really bad idea....I slept through my alarm this morning. Should be at work, by now...instead, I'm sitting down to my first 'real' cup of coffee this morning.

The first cup was splash-stir-gulp so I could function enough to get everyone released, fed and watered.

I fed the keets and chicks FF with milk and mealworms last night...it was havoc! They ate every last bit of it in record time. I need to get some pie pans for out in the girls' coops; but, I'm trying to figure out what I can get for the brooder that is low enough they can get into it to eat without falling face first into it; but, high enough to keep the feed from going everywhere when they jump into it and run off of it.

I did that, last night....actually used tupperware lid. But, they ate so much, so fast, I'm thinking about putting two down. Just don't want the bedding to be tracked all through it, too, you know? Do you have a problem with bedding mixing in it? Right now, I have a raised platform that they jump up on to eat and drink; but, it's only got so much room.

With 23 chicks and 4 keets (soon to be 10 keets and 16 chicks), there's not a whole lot of room in the brooder to add another platform. But, I don't want to separate them because they are all going in the same run when they are big enough to go outside.

I don't even want to think about what I'm going to do when these eggs hatch out ((if they hatch out)).

bedding gets everywhere, lol. their treat pan is only inther while the treats last...then i remove it so typically the bedding doesnt cause a problem. i make little platforms outta 2x4's for their waterer's, i have 2 in there for my 9 chicks, one with tap water and the other with their ACV mix. but yeah, the tupperware works pretty well for me, for that purpose, but im sure if it stayed in there itwould be burried in no time...

my guys are getting big too, i really need to get them outside. we have been having outside time the last couple days and they are loving it for the 30-45 minutes in the evening before dark...they even know to go back in the cat-carrier that i use to move them from the brooder to outside when i open it up for them now...great fun! they were chasing gnats last nite, was great!

Hello! I'm in Keller TX. I had 6 chickens last year but they got sick. I'm in the market for chickens having to look for the best et. Plan to have Them bought by Easter weekend! Count me in as a Texas byc member!
