Good morning everybody!! Hope y'all had a better weekend than us! There's only one thing worse than being sick and that's being sick while staying at a friends house!!!! My wife and I both got the bad stomach bug Saturday night and were up all night not in a good way then we had to drive the 4 1/2 hour drive home on Sunday. Thank god the baby didn't get it and behaved for the whole drive home. I think the good lord was watching out for us Sunday afternoon. We didn't get out of bed until late yesterday afternoon when we could finally eat for the first time since Saturday at lunch!!!! Hope everybody is feeling ok!

My RIR rooster does NOT like me!

i had that problem with most hatchery rir roosters i have owned ..now i have some heritage rir's completely opposite no aggression towards humans at all..try one of those..the only cure i ever found was chicken and dumplings..

i just made my decision that im going to take a "sick-day" day tomorrow because im sick of being stuck inside on these beautiful days! going outta town for a couple days this weekend so i got lots to get done before then!

going to take some good pics of my 5 week olds this evening so i can start getting some opinions on sexes...cant wait!

i got one silkie chick now, which was a suprize! now i have my buff silkies in a pen alone together that way they may give me more babies! she has only laid like 3 eggs in a monthif i keep gettin eggs ill pm ya! they are ideal stock btw....

Opinion : best large flock breed most likely to go broody?

my wheaten ameracuanas go broody all the time. buff orps seem to be good too but you have to get a broody strain in whatever kind as some strains have had most of the broody bred out.
