here's a picture I took this morning twin rams

AMG!!! So cute! I want one! I can't wait till I can get a few of these <3


On another note, the coop is finished today aside from needing to get some hay to put in the nest boxes. The nest boxes are on the ground with the bedding piled up around them almost level with the entrances, hope my ladies will end up using them. Didn't get to get my hens today =( On a good note tho, sold my animal trap to a guy having problems with coyotes and if he catches some he told me I could have them to start learning to tan hides! =) I'm excited. I am thinking about decorating skulls too, and maybe making a tooth necklace.

I have a full wolf hide that I've had for nearly a decade. Along with its skull. I just haven't figured out what to do with it...still, I keep it with me everywhere I have moved.

What do you use to tan your hides? The guy I talked to told me scrape it, salt it, then add glycerin.

I have a full wolf hide that I've had for nearly a decade. Along with its skull. I just haven't figured out what to do with it...still, I keep it with me everywhere I have moved.

that reminds me.. I still have several possums in the freezer along with some rabbit hides I need to get started on when I have a spare minute

you can get tanning supplies at a lot of the taxidermy shops online.. they sell kits with everything included which is a lot easier than buying individual supplies.

basically you have to decide if you want fur on (I am assuming you would with a coyote) and then determine how much you'll need.
Do you know for certain that you'll be getting a hide?.. if so you may want to get a kit now instead of having to freeze the hide when you get it

I am probably gonna have to freeze it. Need to save up to get a kit lol.
