Wewt! I love that. I think it would make a great sign. And honestly, I think it would be true, haha!![]()
I'll put a page on the site for all his fans to join up...![]()
oh my gawd I LOVE IT
....just told Mike that I wanted a little swinging sign in front of the hotel that says "Best Little Henhouse in Texas" - he busted out laughing and said that really belongs in front of the cat house.
This honestly makes me wonder sometimes.... imagine, if we were the size of bugs.... chickens really would seem like dinosaurs. Kind of scary... having that clumsy looking bird chase after you.
My girls do the same thing with it is just me and them. Our one male dog is guilty of it too. The especially want to help me cook and pass out bread to the chickens. Our Great Dane/English Lab mix likes to stand behind me so when I turn around I almost fall over her. She is such an adorable miniture horse of a dog. Those are wonderful pictures of your German Shepard. They are great companions and friends.I wish I still had pics of Blitzy... he was our big black male shepherd.. BIG boy too.. and he was my husband's baby.. I thought I was going to have to take my husband out and shoot him when Blitz died...
That's Tsunami (Nomi for short).. she is daddy's girl... unless he's not home.. then she is my shadow.. she is convinced that I am not capable of doing anything by myself... *sighs*
I would absolutely make a drive for that as well. Kilsharion I love what you are doing for your chickens. They are going to love it.Kilsharion, I love, love, love your town and all your plans. I think you need to plan an annual fair called Landstown Days or something similar and invite the public. I'd come!
If the black rooster, Fatty, is slowly matureing and still getting bigger...someone let me know if I am wrong with this guess, but could he be a Black Jersey Giant? I am still learning about chicken breeds. What is birchen? Is that the funny gold silver color he has? What is an OEG? And I will keep you posted as far as how he grows up. Still not too sure about his brother. I've been told black australorp, but I don't know if they mature slowly. That is the problem. I'm not sure if Rascal (our colorful mystery bird) is maturing fast or if Fatty (my all black big bird) is maturing slow. Fatty is heavier, but Rascal had his comb, crow and interest in ladies long before I even knew if Fatty was male or female.
That sounds really neat. I was wanting to work with them to see if I can make the purple egg gene more predominant in a particular line. Since purple is my favorite color. I thought that would be perfect. I still haven't decided for sure. Two months ago it was black copper marans. I do know that when I do decide, I only get to choose one for at least 4 years... DH won't let me have as many birds as I would like.
That is really creativeOMG - april fool's day....
I can have a friend of mine act like a process server and come out and "serve" him papers....I need to find something official like....then write it all up so that the first page looks all ominous. Then, if he bothers to go to the next page - it will be an invoice for him to go pick up a new table saw.
I am going to have to remember that one. Feathered dinosaurs
I had not seen KnobbyOaks' comment before. That's too sweet. Maybe we will have a bbq and invite all of yah once it is finished. We have neighbors that might even be ok with spillover LoL Thank you all so much for your kind words. My girls do the same thing with it is just me and one male dog is guilty of it too. I would think so as well. They are supposed to mature quite slowly. If the black rooster, Fatty, is slowly matureing and still getting bigger...someone let me know if I am wrong with this guess, but could he be a Black Jersey Giant? I am still learning about chicken breeds.

I imagine that would be quite scary as well xD Good thing they don't use those claws too much on their wings... however those feet still could be lethal
