yep I never want to have it again.... Yep only 10I got 7 Speckled Sussex and 3 they said were SLW but I think they are GLW... Between those 10, last weekends hatch and this weekends hatch, I have 47 new chickies

I'm glad to hear it. It's fun. We have the brooder emptied - all the chicks are now in the Eggcelsior. We are sitting with 25 chick capacity. Really more than we should have given the footprint. However, we'll be having a culling before they are full grown and start having space issues. We still have exterior work to do and the "grown up" roosts to install. But, otherwise, we're looking good. I'm eggcited to be closing in on completion of this one. Mike found a GREAT place in Austin to get wire. The prices are phenomenal. Montopolis - it's at 255 S. Hwy 183 in Austin. Their price sheet is here. We'll be calling tomorrow to place an order for our runs. It's going to save a ton for us to be able to use them rather than Lowe's or Home Depot - and, they are cheaper ($1.26/ft) than CSN ($2.05/ft). They also offer a choice on a lot of their wires where you can go for cheaper (made in China) or spend a little more for American made. Pretty neat selling point.
