I couldn't find the right thread for this, so I thought maybe you guys could help me. My 4 week old faverolle is limping. I can't tell if it is recent or I just missed it somehow. It seems that he is actually walking on his leg. Normal on one side and foot and "knee" both touching ground when he steps on the right leg. Kind of make sense? Is it deformed? He (I think) can move it.

Is it just the picture or does that rear toe not face the right direction? If so, then that's your reason he walks that way.

yea looking at the pic blown up full screen it looks as if the right leg is completely turned the wrong way... could you get any better pics of the chick standing on it and on its belly?

I couldn't get a good pic of him standing but that's exactly it. The leg is crooked from the knee. He can move his toes a little so I didn't think it was broken.

Howdy everybody!
Haven't been on in a while been busy down here in fentress it's hay bailing season so it's been long days for me! Luckily nothing to do tonight after work so I get to just go home to the family and relax, well there's things to do but I'm not gonna do anything but feed and crash! The fourteen hour days are taking their toll and I need a good relaxing night to recharge. All the chickens are doing good and I'm just waiting for the first eggs which should show up any day now! Hope everybody is well and I will try and check in more often!

your uncle know any breeders? what type of chicken does he like?
things that make you go.... Hmmmmm?

I know he has been on me to get some barred rocks because thats what he grew up with...as far as breeders, i doubt it. most likely i will end up with a load of adult laying hens, so he can get his eggs. but hey, free is fine with me.
