My daughters just cooed at the computer screen! That's one cute puppy!

Yes but not my first large breed dog. I don't "just expect"anything, I am going to work with her constantly and she already has an extraordinary disposition. She is from Aledo, and both parents are working LGD, on acreage guarding chickens and goats. Mother is a GP, dad is an Anatolian Shepard.

Love me some Anatolian Shepard! One of the best dogs I ever had. So smart!

Cool morning meant drinking coffee. It is pretty bad when you think 75 is cool.

I have been picking figs. I will be making Fig Jam today!

Mmm... Figs!! It actually got down to mid 60's here.. 70 right now! totally crazy! Too chilly to put my babies out so reading and trying to not be such a newbie world with my GLW on my lap.. lol Sure wish there was a magic switch to just absorb all the info in the chicken world and teach me how to sex my 5! I am such a new mommy it isn't funny!

with my wyandottes i couldnt tell them about till closer to probably 12 weeks...good luck. those small combs make it tough!

I have a fig tree right next to the coop. They LOVE figs. As the figs drop I throw them into the coop and the fight is on. I like fig jam but I've never made it. Not sure what else to do with them.

You can always put them in a dehydrator.

The bottom of my fig tree is bare. My girls help themselves and when I am picking the figs, they expect me to feed them!

We use them to replace sugars.. they aren't as sweet as dates but still yummy! I also froze a bunch and we use in smoothies and ice creams... of course fresh is our fav by far!
