Texas

Considering selling off my flock as DH and i are going to be otr truck drivers starting next month. Just not to sure of what to do. I trust my sister to care for them how i would but she won't be there. And if i sell them off, I'll never get to at what color eggs my ee babies will lay. Everyone is so close laying and my Turkeys are huge.

I have 3 mystery birds, 1 slw, 4 ee, 1 ib roo, 3 golden comet, 1 ba roo, 1 turken, 2 rir. 3 bbb Turkeys. 1 porcelain duccle bsntam roo, 1 silver sebright roo, 1 little orange roo, and 1 little orange hen.

eta i forgot, i also have one barred rock laying hen.

try watching a few videos on YouTube.Just be ready they pretty graphic, as all slaughters are.

I have watched. I've read. It's the doing that is so hard! I think I might offer my vet's tech (a chicken person) $100 to come to my house and teach me how with the five or so little bantam cockerels that need to go to freezer camp.

I might be interested in the EEs if you're splitting them up :)

Their ages vary from 3 months and up. My laptop broke or i could give you their exact hatch dates.

The only way I would split them up is if i have enough people interested that they all leave. I don't want to be left with a few stragglers that have no home and no buddies.

Totally understand! That is a bit more than what I was looking for.. I don't think I could fit all (especially the turkeys too) in the van especially that far.. would be funny to watch hubby trying though!
