No, not house breaking. Just on the spare recliner i have in that room.

The bator is chugging right along. 36 quail eggs go into lock down tomorrow so we will see. Took a very hands off approach to this batch so no promises

Hey, what causes the bulge that goes all the way around the egg that has the lines that also go around the egg. I understand that it is a weakness in the shell but what causes it and what can you do about it, if anything. I dont set any of them that I find here but I got a shipped box with over half of the eggs like that. The sellers response was only that the previous buy had a 50% hatch. Is there any way to save them from blood rings?

I don't have an answer about the rings but I would be upset if someone told me their fertile eggs were only hatching at 50%... I'd expect much higher for something I paid for.

I wouldn't set those, and the seller should give you 50% of your money back. That's just not right. IMHO

Blood rings are caused by bacteria in the shell.

The breeder probably said 50% because that is considered a good hatch for shipped eggs. I have only hatched shipped eggs once and got 5 out of 12 to hatch.
