I get bit everyday, their everywhere, esp. since the little storm yesterday. I'm having problems with them in my kitchen the last 3 days, can't seen to find where their coming from.
I am soo with you!! NO idea! good thing is.. the house smells like cinnamon..

I think ours are coming from the walls in the middle of the house though.. guess a mound under the house maybe.. ugh!

*knock on wood* i've only ever found 3? ticks in 28 years. We have a bad ant problem *pick a species, insert here*, but they typically stay out of the general walking areas. Mosquitos are a totally different story. Ohemgee.
Mosquitos are driving me crazy too :sick I make an essential oil repellent that works pretty well but it's easier to suffer with long sleeves & long pants everytime I go check the chickens or the garden :(

Me and my 1yr old are *SO* allergic to them. I take him outside any chance we get, but UGH! He loves it outside :( I finally just broke down and I'm using Off on him now :(

We have battled fleas too, with our dogs anyway. They have a new medication for dogs called comfortis. It is a pill that you give your dogs once a month. It works wonders!!! Within a few hours you notice the fleas are less. You have to get it at the vets office. But so worth it!! I'm not sure what to do with them on chickens but at least it helps in the yard a little too when it's given to the dogs.

I love comfortis, and Trifexis, the version with heartworm prevention. Thats normally what I give my dogs, but I ran out. After 3 years of back stocked samples from vendors (I worked in a vet clinic) I finally ran out. :( Now I'm using revolution, not the best flea prevention :(

Oh Sweetie, it sounds like they might have a nest inside your wall!
