Thank you all for the advice. I will reach out to Sunrise Farm today. Ms. Tammy Tx, I am right off 95 near the lake. If we can help out just holler.

Thanks MiniM! I come out that way occasionally because my dad lives off of Short Road (...is that the name?). I'm in the western part of the county, on a road off of FM969.Thank you all for the advice. I will reach out to Sunrise Farm today. Ms. Tammy Tx, I am right off 95 near the lake. There were a couple water troughs full when we were there about 2 weeks ago. Some baby S.S. and EEs there then too! She wasn't there when we were but Martin sure showed us around! LOVED the Isbars and creamed legbars.. oh and the black javas!Back2SimpleLife - When I bought the BCM they said they didn't have any Wellies. Maybe it's a seasonal thing.
Emancipet is the best. Thanks MiniM! I come out that way occasionally because my dad lives off of Short Road (...is that the name?). I'm in the western part of the county, on a road off of FM969.

Well, just got back from taking the 'ol mouse catcher to the vet for his annual shots....$131 !!! I think I'm going to go back to using Emancipet. I can't believe that three shots and a worming was $131. OH, and that was the SPECIAL. Very nice and competent staff, but wow, expensive.
Yup, that is me and my babies, when they were still babies. I have good news! Going tomorrow to pick up some JGs! I am SO happy! Thanks to Mi Ranchito who let me know of a farmer who has them nearby (Lytle). He also has Ameracaunas, australorps and orpingtons, so I may talk DH into some more. I want MORE, and Momma will not be happy til this place is exploding with chickens.mandaleigh - you changed your photo!I also like your quote in your signature line.
And hey, its cause its true! We don't need anyone to keep things running, though when there is a plumbing mishap like we had today, I am glad DH is a Jack of all trades.mandaleigh - you changed your photo!I also like your quote in your signature line.
We took the boys.. he has a 3 yr old too.. even saw some eggs hatching in the bator! It was great as we went for a BCM roo but they were a lil young..we really needed something to keep our new-older gals in line... he was the one who pointed us at the blues and said "the owner doesn't want to sell these but I do! I need the pen" Dh totally fell in love with the blues so we picked out B-Clux! Dh was asking all sorts of questions about the hoop pens he was making, coops, and and and.. so he was showing us everywhere! Even got to see B-Clux's mama! We went on an 'off' time but called first.. He said they do a lot of trading BCMs for others.. and he never knows what they will get.. but he did show us some of the babies they are growing and breeding for the spring. We actually had a ball!Back2 - Well dang, Martin didn't show me around either time! I even pronounced his name correctly!!...and I gave him a $5 tip for crawling through the chicken poo in the hoop coop to grab "big birds" for me. Okay, he deserved the tip just for doing that!

Maybe I'll go back in the Spring and see what she has. We were supposed to build a bigger coop this Winter...we'll see.
