Texas

My hands are plenty steady (I'm pretty good with a gun). I don't have any artistic talent!
My daughters have a lot more talent than I do. Heaven knows where they got it from!

That is about the extent of my steadiness of hand too. Being a good shot is important too!!

Funny timing with all this talk about stray dogs and rescues. We had a stray chocolate lab show up at our house today. He has a collar, but no tags. Is a very sweet dog, but he's either been missing for a long time or his previous owner didn't take very good care of him. He had a length of electrical wire tied to his collar, so I guess that's how they had him tied up wherever he was before? :(

I have 2 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 5 goats, 6 geese, 1 duck, and 50 chickens.

I. Can. Not. House. Another. Creature.

But I kinda want to...

Anybody close to East Tx want a chocolate lab?

Hey guys! Sorry I was gone today. We ran into San Antonio and took the boys to see Planes. I wanted to see Riddick but DH said it might not be age appropriate.

Oh well, next time. We then went grocery shopping, and then dinner, and then another run into Pleasanton for a 12 pack and an oil filter for my truck so DH can change it in the morning. LONG day.

The babies are doing good. Been eating all day. Had the lamp on em both day and night, and they seem to still be at a good temp as they are not running from it or huddling. They are in our insulated metal building with the garage door half way open. They are so teeny and sweet. I can't believe they will be 10 lbs someday. Garyn, my oldest, is in love with them. He is such a kind hearted boy, especially with animals.
So sad.......

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! When I homeschooled, my children learned how to do the Lithuanian Easter Eggs. Turned out beautifully.
So, I came up with a spur.of.the.moment response to my husband....

"How do you have time to do anything else with your hands, when you are so busy pointing a finger at ME?"

....yes, I am a smarta$$ but I always tell the hub's that at least he didn't marry a dumba$$, even though sometimes I secretly wonder...

Edit: I should edit to add that he and I started dating in 1979 when I was 16 years old and have been married for over 31 years and will probably be for another 31 years!
Ken and I have been married for 31 years. We dated 5. Somebody was afraid of the 'C' word (not me)

You sound like me! A friend was giving away another weenie dog, and I wanted him SO bad. But I have 1 husband, 4 kids, 4 dogs, a cat, 47 chickens with 16 more chickens due to arrive next week. I have enough needy creatures to take care of! I need one more like a need a hole in my head.

What a sweet looking pup. Ugh. I have to stop wanting more animals. I already want a milk cow. Why do we always make more work for ourselves?

Randy and I dated for 2 months. We kinda had a bun in the oven, though as soon as I found out, we got married in a small ceremony in my mom's yard. Everyone said it wouldn't last.....well, here we are and happy as can be. So poo on all those people!

There must be 'naysayers' in every family. At the time Ken was working for Ingersoll Rand (oil field work). My father, a WWII sailor, told me that Ken had a girl in every port. He wasn't the man for me. HA! I got one right!
