Texas

Howdy from Arlington!
I'm inside the city limits. But so far with 2 hens.
I can get two more. But never realized there was so many different chickens out there.

Greetings from the RGV! I know what you mean about all the breeds. I wasn't aware there were so many different breeds, so I'd just pick up whatever they had at the feed store. Now I know better--and still pick up whatever they have at the feed store, heehee!

If you're ever needing any advice on the kind of chickens you'd like to get next, this is the place to look! Ask around and you'll get an answer. Plus, there are many breeds you can look up here on BYC that'll give you an idea of the different pros and cons each breed has. Everyone here is happy to give advice!

Well, I'm a little sad today. My work partner retired yesterday and she was/is a great friend, but we don't live close so I won't see her often.

I am extra busy until we hire a new person, in November!

I needed a funny....

TammyTX, I am sorry about that! Loved your "funny"

Is anyone interested in Dominiques? I hatched some . they are 2 weeks old . They are from a great lineage of a respected breeder. I am in East Dallas if you want some.
I also have a 4 week old Light brahma roo for rehoming, Can't have roos here. :(

FFFarm and jinsing from Rosenberg!! Just beware of 'chicken math'. This forum is very addictive!

Welcome to BYC. You have come to the right place. The Texas thread is like a funny farm most of the time. lol
I resemble that remark.

Our vegetable garden had pretty much gone belly-up by early July. But after last week's rain the eggplants are perking up, and I've started harvesting asparagus again. I'm getting 3-4 spears each day. I've been putting them in water in the fridge, and now we have enough for a meal.

A good friend is like a hidden treasure, they are of great value and extremely hard to find. Praise God we live in a day where it is lot easier to stay in touch with our good friends when they move away. I hope you can stay in touch with your friend.

Love the picture!
