not into showing them. I do love the milk as my dad says all u would have to do is fast freeze it for ice cream it is so rich. they are both blacks with tan trim . I am trying to learn to post pics on here . lol

I want goats too. I can't have them where I live though. I'm allergic to cow's milk. Some protein in it does a real number on me. Highly allergic. I wanted to try goats milk. Even if I couldn't drink it I would still like to make soap. Someday I will have a small farm. I hope.
I know a guy that has Dwarf Nigerian Milk Goats. They are so cute.

I'm eligible to retire in less than a year but will probably wait until I can afford to get some goats! 

.....I also love colored angora goats...so pretty!

Good Idea, several goats can get expensive..especially with the medical care and blood draws if you get into all that.
I love the angoras too! Never owned one, but always admired them.

Does anyone have silver Phoenix? What are they like personality wise? Compare to heavy bodies LF like my Cochin rooster?

I have one. His personality is much like the way he looks. Regal. He walks around like he's royalty. Not aggressive at all, but not very approachable either. I have a BLRW roo, they pretty much have the same gentle personality but our Phoenix is a smaller bird.

That's exactly why we got into goats milk. My son has a cows milk allergy. He tolerates goats milk much better. The fat cells are much smaller and easier to digest If the goat is fed properly, the milk handled properly, then goats milk doesn't taste any different than cows milk. I tricked my mother once by pouring our goat milk into a glass for her. She drank it and I grinned at her. She was like "what?" Lol I told her she just drank goat milk and she was like "oh my gosh it tastes just like milk!" Lol this is a big thing for her cause she swore shed never try it. You hear lots of horror stories about goat milk but usually it's because the goat was milked right after eating a bunch of weeds. Or some goats, like the toggenburg have a gamey after flavor to their milk...I haven't had that issue with the Nubians. Oh wow how I've been rambling on about goats Lol!

Update on Angel Eyes, my rooster. He is treading very lightly around me. My husband went into the coop last night and picked him up and carried him around like a baby for a while. Maybe he will get the message!

I am halfway between Tyler and Athens. 

My mom and dad are in Athens. They used to have a bed and breakfast. They stopped last year because it just got to be too much. They are in their 70's!

I am here Lisa Dear. Just woke up at 6:20 ... can't sleep any more. Still a little early to get out of bed. I have to do referee from 7:30-4. Then I have a break for 2 hr nap. Then at 6pm I will head to Fort Smith AR till midnite Sun.

I bet Lisa is snoring in bed now since.. she didn't hit the bed till 3:30am. Did you remind the roo to .. keep quite till 9am ???

My wife is at work today (Sat), she is at work from 8am-10pm. Look like the super typhoon will hit there Sun morning. She will work Sun from 10am-4pm. Let see how she can ride to work.
