Help, I have an egg eater! How can you tell which chicken is eating the egg? I collect my eggs at least 4 times a day, this has only happened twice in the last 2months.

This I have heard works...take an egg blow it out...fill it with mustard.... The offending hen will A. Get it all over hen face allowing you to identify her...and B. you can remove her...some people use a time out cage to get them to stop....or well freezer camp. Good luck!

Morning everyone!

It's supposed to be in the mid 60's here today. NICE!

Longest week ever. For anyone who has kids 2nd and up there is a wonderful movie called 'our friend, Martin.' You can view it on YouTube. It's a great movie that, in cartoon firm, really helps the kids understand the importance of his life. I'm showing it to my class today!

Goodmorning BYC.
Happy chick day Brookshire11. I hope you get a box full of sweet healthy fluff balls.
Everybody enjoy this beautiful day.
Fingers crossed!!!

30 min til the post office opens! lol

Could you just eat the dried elderberries?
I don't know....maybe? I'd check into it first...lol. I know the syrup isn't too complicated...just honey an some spices I think. The berries might be fine, health wise. I just can't tell you how'd they taste...

Yeah! You can pick them up as soon as the post office opens then I would think. They should travel here by then. Right?

So eggcited!
Me tooo! They open in 30 minutes, I'm going to call. I don't see how they wouldn't be there..Coppell is 40 min away an they left there at like..2:30am. I'll just use some of my lunch time to run and pick them up and get them all set up! Then the husband is on chick duty! lol
I didn't tell my daughter they were coming today, just in case they didn't make it...I'm trying not to get too excited, just in case.

Fingers crossed!!!

My post office calls me before 5:30 to 6:00 a.m. that my birds have arrived. I immediately get in the car and have them hours before they are open. I ring a bell at the back loading doors and they are happy to give me the chicks. I'm surprised you are having to wait until they open. Give them a call. They start work really early.

I'm still waiting for an update on my pullets. They were "Dispatched to Sort Facility" in Harpursville, NY, at 4:54 p.m. yesterday. Nothing new posted. I'm sure they are either on their way to or already at the San Antonio sort facility. I was hoping I will get them today, but expect them tomorrow since I didn't get a call at 5:30 this morning.

Coppell truck doesn't get there til 11.
Some birds were in but they weren't mine.
I have to call back at 11..
Cutting the "72 hours" very close.
I know you usually just provide sugar water to start with, but in this instance, should I provide food right away as well?
