I didn't know this...the colder weather til you mentioned it. I looked at the forecast. Ugh. IM READY FOR MY FLIP FLOPS!!!

I am so ready for spring. And summer!

Interesting. Not sure if I want to go to the trouble of trying it though.

I made my first rose cake today. I found the link on-line and decided I wanted to try it. I am happy with the results, but next time I will use the tip she uses (the tip I used was also recommended). 1M tip is on the shopping list. :)

This is a single layer cake, I am saving up layers to make this neapolitan layer cake. It may take awhile, but the layers will keep in the freezer until I get them all. :)

I know this is silly, but I am so excited! My Murphy was chosen as chicken picture of the week. I know it must be some sort of random process, as the photo isn't great, but I don't care. I'm so proud of my hens :)

Well, I would not either if I had that cake to eat!!! Actually, the reason I want to try it, is my diet limits me on things like your cake, so this is a good alternative. Plus I LOVE sweet potatoes, so I would eat the leftovers also

Whew! Just caught up! Lol
I hope everyone stays warm tonight!
Kinda wish I was one of my chicks right now and all i had to do was eat and snuggle!
Theyre starting to lose their chick fuzz and get some actual feathers. I think one of my EE chicks is going to be a looker..shes got the prettiest pattern going on, on her wing feathers.
Exciting!
Ms Jellybean, i think ill swing by for dessert! Lol

Ice is gone I'm coming for dessert as well!!
You are both welcome to stop by. Fewer calories for me to burn off. ;)

Another cold night tonight. Stay warm!!

The smaller ducks, and the drake that looks a bit like a mallard, are my Welsh Harlequins. The bigger ducks, the buff females and the big drake with a grey head, are Saxonies. There is one all white duck in there, and its a White Appleyard.

I love ducks. I think the runner ducks are adorable. I would have ducks except I have a pool and a nice gold fish pond with fish, water lilies and other aquatic plants. I want to swim in my pool and I want to still have a nice-looking gold fish pond. Sadly, no ducks. My neighbor has a flock of whistling ducks that stay at her place. I really like them when they fly over my house--they sound like your typical squeaky yellow duck toy. A goose would be nice, too, to guard my property.

@jajeanpierre
I'm in College Station, and all of the sago palms we've had next to our house always seem to do just fine without any protection. Our fan palms do okay as well. All of the leaves die off, but they come back. If you're concerned about them though, I would cover them through this next cold stretch that's coming.
