Please pray for the Dallas Firefighter who was knocked off the bridge at 408/I-20 a little while ago. Care Flight was unable to land, and he has been transported by ground. No word on his injuries, but they are no doubt life threatening.

Sadly he didn't make it.

I just candled my first incubator egg...the teeniest egg I have...I think it was the just the 3rd egg my little Gold Laced Wyandotte laid....and there was a little moving blob in there!!!!! HOW COOL is THAT!!!

I may be over excited, but this is my first try at incubation and the fairy tail might actually be true!!! I'm about as excited as finding my first laid egg!!!! Since I will no longer be having babies myself, I may be eternally hooked on this!!! YYYEAAAAAHHHHhh!!!

I won't even spend $5k on a performance horse. My husband thinks I'm already chicken nuts when I spent $50 on eggs.

I know..I like to daydream but lets face it, I feel guilty even buying shoes! lol. I can't imagine what the buyer's remorse would be like on that one!

I did the "waking up to dinner" thing the other day. Lol. Woke up to the broth that had been going all night in the crockpot! Had some yummy soup that night

It is cold and wet here in Liberty Hill. Ice on plants, chickens on backporch. Should go collect Miss Priss's egg she was laying earlier when I was out in the chicken yard, but it feels nice and warm snuggled under my blanket.

Totally having one tonight now!

Ooohh..I cant wait to get home and snuggle in front of the "fireplace" (actually just and electric heater that looks like one). That is, if the chicks will share... I've had them by the heater to keep them nice and toasty. My house is old and nice and drafty lol. They're spoiled

Isn't it amazing that when they want to spend that kind of money, it makes sense to them. MEN!! (I wouldn't spend $5000 on a chicken either)
