Texas

I got these eggs from a friend of mine. The green ones are from EE's. I'm not sure what else they have in their 12 hens.
ms jelly bean if you get that carton that has not been in a refrigerator . and they have a dark egg rooster . you can hatch some dark egg hens from the looks i would say marans. but could be wellsummers. and some olive eggers maybe ?? from the cross of the green egg ee's and a dark egg roo. if they are fertile all u need to do is find an incubator. or bring them to east tx and i will hatch them for you. :)

Not sure who's still around from last summer and remembers my cattle getting stolen. But today we finally made it to court, and they were indicted for theft of livestock. Just for an update.
FINALLY! I am so sorry this happened to you. Hopefully you can get some closure now.

They don't have a rooster. Inside city limits.

Identification / Leg Bands

Does anyone use these or have a special way to mark your flock? I have had a couple of different times I would have liked to noted a certain chick to watch something but I couldn't figure out away at that time. I have been looking at the bands and the zip ties but I am not really sure how the zip ties would work.

Do ya'll have any good ideas for advice?

On younger birds I use colored zip ties. With ten colors I potentially have over 100 combinations. Start with right keg. Go to left leg. Then do two bands on right, two on left... Mix and match your colors. Once my birds reach 18-20 weeks they get permanent leg bands. You can order 100 online really easy. Keep books. Searate booked for each breed and reach season makes life wonderfully easy

Ok so my question for the zip ties is how hard is it to get them off of them when it is time? Where do you get the colored zip ties? The permanent leg bands, are those the spiral ones.... I think that is what I saw?
